allow municipalities to create their own broadband networks when they are unserved or underserved by broadband providers

Created by W.S. on February 15, 2014

Increasingly ISPs are trying to stop cities and towns from creating their own broadband networks that would allow them to have fast, affordable internet access. These ISPs are seeking to make it illegal for local municipalities and even Google to create or further broadband penetration in rural and underserved communities. This goes against the president's push to provide affordable broadband to everyone and is anti-consumer. I would like to see this kind of lobbying and and anti-consumer behavior stop.
