Allow Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 to become a Compassionate Allowance Condition for Social Security Disability

Created by H.P. on January 15, 2013

Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 is a severe form of muscular dystrophy. However, people who suffer from this disease are often denied disability since it is not as widely known as other diseases. My mom has suffered from this disease for 20 years and has repeatedly been denied disability benefits. Making this a Compassionate Allowance Condition will automatically allow her and others suffering from this horrific, but often neglected disease, to qualify for disability.
