Under the American Jobs Act military service men and women serving in the medical field should have the opportunity to obtain a state license by way of their profession. These men and wome have little to no opportunity to contine their education in the medical field at an Institute of Higher Learning while on active duty. Most educational systems only offer day time classes and the students have to be enrolled as a full-time student and tuition is extremely expensive. However, most if not all of these men and women have experience that goes well beyond the scope of any educational system. Given that there is a shortage of medical professionals, such as nurses, these men and women should be allowed to challenge state licensing exams and become a certified nursing professional.
