Governor Rick Perry disputes the very idea of "gun-free zones", bravely scoffing that "If we believe in the Second Amendment, and we believe in people's right to protect themselves", then this practice would "send a message across this country".
Well, I believe in Rick Perry's right to defend himself. So I think that during the remainder of the Presidential campaign, all Secret Service protection should be withdrawn; that audiences should be swept for guns and everyone lacking a gun should be given one.
I believe in freedom. I believe in hot bullets wielded justly. This plan will be not just a success in terms of preventing violence, but a success for Americans being American.
