Allow non-violent and non-drug related felons to own firearms for the purpose of defense and hunting.

Created by A.C. on November 13, 2012

Allow felons who have non-violent and non-drug related charges/convictions, the right to bear arms as a means of self defense and defense of their homes and families/community. Also as a means of hunting to provide food for themselves and their families and/or community. It is wrong to take away the right to bear arms for those people who have not been charged or convicted of a crime involving violence or drugs. Firearms are not just used in the commission of crimes, they are also used to hunt game/wildlife and provide food for people and therefore I believe it is only right to reinstate the right to own and use firearms to persons that meet the criteria of non violent and non drug related felonies for this purpose.
