It is my belief that if you are a non-violent offender, you should be able to gain your status in society after you have completed your punishment.
Penalizing people for the rest of their lives for mistakes is a policy that creates more lifelong criminals. People will need to support themselves and their families some way to contribute to society.
We need to be a society that understands people make mistakes by nature.
