Allow Offshore Drilling and Open Public Lands to Develop Energy

America's economic freedom as well as our military might is endangered by her dependence on foreign oil. We have the capability to end that in our own country, which would create more jobs as well, simply by allowing offshore and opening public lands for drilling. We have protected our environment to the point that we have lost our energy independence because we have to import oil from Venezuala, the Middle East and Africa, all of which are unstable regions, and which endangers our ability to maintain our military protection as well as the freedom of movement of goods which is so necessary in this large country. Every part of our military requires oil to keep it going; take that away and we are crippled.
