Allow only the American people to vote for pay raises in the government removing elected officials self voted pay raises

Self raises in elected government have taken advantage of American tax payers long enough. Who does not get to choose if they get a raise regardless of performance and seniority. This is a petition for public updated status of a bill to bar all elected officials from voting regarding benefit of self pay raises in benefits as well. The elected officials of the United States should be for the people this would ensure such checks and balance. Specially the abuse of pay raises voted in the last four years during a the greatest recession since the depression. Which will also include spending accounts of elected officials to be included in order to cut waste in goverment. All changes of increase will need to be voted for by individuals voters of the United States.
