The controversial decision of the Supreme Court's Citizens United case has lead people to believe that removing corporate personhood is the only thing that will solve the problems with our democracy.
The real problem is that political campaigns are being flooded by special interest money, the majority of which come from wealthy corporations.
By creating a campaign finance system whereby only US citizens are able to contribute of political campaigns.
Establish a system whereby every US citizen is given a "democracy voucher" of an equal amount of money. Every citizen has the right to contribute that money to political campaigns how ever they wish.*
