According to news reports, "The Shooter", the SEAL who pulled the trigger on Osama Bin Laden during the raid of his compound, is currently in dire straits. He left service after the mission, just short of being eligible for his military pension. He currently has no health care, and his family is in financial distress. This is no way an American Hero should be treated, even if he has to remain anonymous for his families security. I petition to the white house a method of donating to his family, through either the DoD or directly so as to not reveal his identity, so Americans and others can show their gratitude to someone who has served this country honorably and removed this threat from the word. If that is not acceptable, he should have his pension from the military based on merit.
