The Palestinians within Israel's Gaza Strip are Israeli citizens who wish to secede and form their own nation of Palestine, free from Israel. This is the result of conflicts between governments of both sides. The people within Gaza are in poverty with limited to no electricity and in some cases their homes are destroyed. They have been killed in a conflict between Palestinian militants and Israeli military. Because of this conflict, the Israeli government has made it near impossible for Gazans to leave their poverty stricken homes and foreign aid must go through a long process to finally get inside and help civilian populations. This all diminishes Gazan hopes and allows terror groups to recruit young Gazans for military purposes. This is why Palestine must be independent.
