The United Federation of Planets is a shell of its former self. Democracy no longer rules the quadrant and it has become obvious that member worlds wishing for a representative voice must instead seek to govern themselves. As a founding member of the UFP, we the government of Andor request that, as a sign of good faith toward the will of all Federation citizens, the Council respect our wishes and allow Andor to peacefully secede from the Federation, acting as a model for other member worlds to follow should they freely choose.
We trust the Council will embrace reason and the people's will, and we hope that our dealings with the Typhon Pact will not be a detriment to Andor's continued peaceful relationship with the Federation.
