There are more than two biological sexes and many babies are born somewhere in the middle. Intersexed or non-binary people may have gentiles that are indistinguishable or a mix of a penis and vagina. Doctors often talk parents into choosing surgery to “normalize” them, and their sex is changed to what is easiest for the doctor. Sometimes the new sex doesn’t match how the person feels or even their actual genetic makeup. Kids without the surgery face embarrassment in public restrooms and locker rooms. Let’s support non-binary people and allow their parents the choice to leave that section blank or have a third option of “other” on official papers such as birth certificates and IDs. When the child is older they can decide to change their sex both physically and officially if they want.
