Allow parents who have children with disabilities to choose where their child attends school.

Created by J.L. on February 23, 2015

My name is John, my mother, Barbara, was held in contempt of court for taking my sister, Briana, out of the public school system in Cartersville, Georgia. Briana has Asperger syndrome, and is therefore unable to handle the social pressure that is applied to students in a public school environment. After being bullied and pressured, my mother decided to take her out of the school and place her into an Online Academy (Georgia Cyber Academy). However, when she did this she was held in contempt of court and was forced to spend 48 hours in jail. This is absolutely ridiculous. My sister is currently enrolled in both the Online School and the Public School systems. The Judge forced her to attend public school or my mom would have to go back to jail.
