The PLO has put forth a request to be recognized as a nation by the U.N.
I implore all that find this to allow the people of Palestine the right to determine their own future without being tripped up by U.N. security counsel and an assured veto vote from the U.S.
This does not mean that the Palestinian people will have thrown the yolk of their oppressors yet, rather that we will not stop the process by being a road block to freedom. Freedom is something that this county was founded upon and we should be ashamed when we stand up next to those that find it convenient to oppress one people based on their religion.
We, The United States, should be a beacon of hope and freedom in this world.
Though I know that this cry will fall upon deaf ears, I must make it for those who cannot.
