Allow the people of the United States of America to hold recall elections of federal elected officials/ Congress.

Created by S.K. on December 31, 2012

Since Colonial America it has been the desire of this nation for citizens to have a means by which to recall an elected official who has failed to fulfill their duties of office, before their term has expired. Currently 38 states allow recall elections at the local and state level, however federal law does not allow citizens of these states to recall their federally elected officials including Senators and Congressmen. Voters currently have no means to terminate their representation by an ineffective or corrupt Representative or Senator other than for that member of Congress to be expelled by 2/3 vote by his fellow Congressmen. We the people desire that a federal law be passed allowing the recall of federally elected officials at the initiation of the people.
