Whereas the second amendment states; "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed," this bill is often cited as protection against tyrannical rule.
It must be noted, however, that the United States government possesses nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons. If we were to be taken over by a tyrannical leader, we would not be able to effectively defend our freedom and liberties.
It is my belief that the only way to ensure the freedom of every American citizen is to follow the verbatim instructions of a single incomplete sentence written 220+ years ago; the rights of citizens to own WMDs should not be infringed.
