ALLOW PHYSICIANS ASSISTANCES AND NURSE PRACTIONERS TO AUTHORIZE HOME HEALTH CARE TO HELP PATIENTS IN RURAL AREAS

Created by M.V. on January 09, 2013

Currently physician assistances and nurse practitioners cannot authorize home health care and doctors must see patients to authorize the care. Many Americans rely on physician assistances and nurse practitioners as thier primary health care providers, especially in rural areas. Home Health helps improve patient compliance and education reducing hospitalization rates and therefore health care costs. Making home health more accessible to these Americans improves health and reduces overall healthcare expenditures.
