The American people desire greater options during the election process, none more so than during the 2016 presidential election. Allowing candidates that achieve 5% popularity on well-respected national polls to participate in the debates would increase the choices citizens have come November. Greater choice leads to greater participation which in turns leads to a greater voice of the people in their democratic government.
