The current Postal Service "crisis" is Congress created. Americans are willing to have their postal rates moderately increased rather than gut this institution. Postmaster Donovan should be fired. Congress created this "fake crisis" and should be held to correct it. Now is not the time to lay off 100,000 to 200,000 workers due to the ripple effect. Even if it buys time, now is not the time to require the $5.5 billion retirement fund, robbing Peter to pay Paul is just not right. I would ask for Donovan's resignation.
