If someone who has been sent to prison cannot adjust, or if they disagree with their incarceration, they should have the right to end their lives. Prison officials currently use methods to prevent inmates from starving themselves to death or hanging themselves that violate the 8th Amendment. They also use bogus claims that riots will occur if they let prisoners end their life. Long as the inmate is not harming other prisoners or staff, there should be no action taken to prevent such acts.
