Prior to 2005, student loan debtors could discharge student loans through bankruptcy. We need bankruptcy protections restored to student loans! Far too many of us owe 250k+. Allow them to be restored to give us hope! Too many of us feel that death is the only way out.
Stop treating student loan debtors like criminals! Yes, we signed the papers but many of us couldn't find employment, didn't pass our boards, faced a tough economy.
If the average joe can blow 200k at the casino and have a second chance at life through bankruptcy then student loan debtors should have same option!
