Allow private prayer in school by setting aside 5 minutes of uninterrupted quiet time each day a child is in school

Created by R.J. on December 17, 2012

Students should be given 5 uninterrupted minutes each school day to pray or meditate. This practice is beneficial in many ways. Prayer will usher in the presence of God who offers hope and protection to our children and families. This time will be offered to all students without regard or discussion as to what they are praying for or to whom they are praying. A child may choose to meditate instead of praying. In either case, our children are offered a few quiet minutes to themselves. Studies show that both prayer and meditation are beneficial to the health of those who engage in such practices.
