Allow public universities to make the "campus carry" decision for themselves.

Created by S.B. on November 18, 2015

When asking other students and professors on the University of Texas at Austin campus about the impending "campus carry" legislation to go into effect, the response is overwhelmingly negative. By allowing this to go into effect, many faculty members and students have a lesser sense of safety and security in an educational setting. Because other citizens that may not even step foot on a college campus were able to vote on this piece of legislation, it was able to pass. This decision needs to be re-thought but only by those that will be readily effected--those that either attend on, work for, or frequent a public university. By obtaining the true voice from those readily effected the correct decision will be reached.
