Worldwide, the smallest and most democratic governments are the least violent. Look at Switzerland - they practice direct democracy and have not been in a state of war for almost two hundred years.
The United States should practice a true form of democracy. We should vote on the most important issues at the federal level, and see if we can reduce the level of violence the country carries out.
