Allow Punahou eighth grade students to use personal devices during school hours.

Created by C.C. on March 14, 2014

Punahou eighth students are currently prohibited from using cellular phones during school hours, including breaks and lunch. A policy has been enacted that will allow teachers to confiscate any student's phone whether out, in bags, or in pockets, during any time of the school day, regardless if it is a distraction to learning. This rule is nearly impossible to enforce and has no benefits. This rule should be abolished and allowing technology will increase innovation and our ability for our future to learn.
