allow Qualified Retired Law Enforcment Officers to carry a concealed weapon anywhere.

Created by R.M. on January 17, 2013

Retired police officers who are eligible under 18USC-926C are required to qualify by passing a state's uniformed shooting program for active law enforcment officers. They are allowed to carry a concealed weapon subject to each indiviual states concealed weapons carry laws and abide by the restrictions placed on them by those statues. I would petition that 18USC-926C be revised to allow those qualified retired law enforcement officers to carry a concealed weapon anywhere an active law enforcement officer can carry their weapon while on or off duty. This would allow those retired officers who meet the qualifications of 18USC-926C to carry concealed in locations where they would other wise be prohibited.
