Texas v. White in 1869 stipulated that no state can leave the U.S. "except through revolution or through consent of the States."
After this election, it is clear that hatred and bigotry is alive and well in the United States.
It is unambiguously better for the state of California to leave for the sake of protecting LBGT people and minorities.
