My Petition addresses the fact that a released felon should be able to vote to choose who would be in their best interest to govern, their country, state or region. A person that has served time and in which the state or federal government feels that they can join society, should also be able to cast a vote in any of this country's elections. If they are not afforded to the right to vote, then they should be exempt from paying taxes. Surely if you don't have a voice in who makes the laws that govern your life, then why should you have to pay taxes to support a government that did not afford you the right to pick your leaders.
