Since the recent presidential election many citizens of the United States have created and signed petitions to secede from the country. In my opinion we should keep the Union whole and allow those who wish to leave a one-way ticket out through the borders. Citizenship should be considered forfeited upon departure and if said individuals should want to return later they should have to apply for citizenship just as any other immigrant would.
