Allow Residency Ready Medical Graduates to sit for the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

Every year thousands of residency ready physicians (RRPs) are unable to obtain a residency position while the demand for physician assistants (PAs) continues to rise.
Most PA training programs involve 3 years of training or less while RRPs complete at least 4 years of training.Therefore, under proper supervision, RRPs are likely to provide patient care that is at least not inferior to the one provided by PAs.
While some state licensure boards consider the medical credentials of many RRPs as equivalent to the PA training programs, RRPs are denied the access to the PANCE - the final step to complete the licensure process.
We request the access to the PANCE and if our scores and medical credentials are deemed sufficient by the state licensing boards, we may serve our country as licensed PAs.
