Allow restaurants to reinstate automatic gratuities on large parties in restaurants. Servers work for $3 per hr or less!

Restaurant workers are already making less than $3 per hour. When large parties come into a restaurant those tables might be the only table a server gets depending on size. If no tip is left that server often has to tip out other employees and can end up paying to wait on tables that do not tip! It is unacceptable for the federal government to pass a law stating that automatic gratuities can no longer be added, but do nothing to raise the minimum pay allowed for service staff. Restaurant workers are often overworked without breaks and are dependant upon gratuities to make a living. Large groups should not be allowed to come in and have someone wait on them and not be accoutable to tip them, its like a modern version of slave labor. Help hold diners accountable ! Sign and share!
