Sergeant Patrick Poindexter of Weapons Company 3d Bn 6th Marine Regiment was recently denied reenlistment/extension for continued service in the United States Marine Corps. He is without a doubt one of the finest Marines I have had the pleasure to work with in my almost 13 years of active service. He is the epitome of Marine in every facet. Budget cuts and reduction in numbers is understandably unavoidable but losing this Marines experience, dedication, And loyalty to his country is not. We can fix this. Allow this Marine to continue his faithful VOLUNTARY service to his country so he can continue to mold the future of our institution and guarantee the success of the Marine Corps for future generations to come.
