There are many retired military spouses that has supported their military members through PCS seasons and IA; putting their lives- particularly their career on hold to support their spouses while on active duty. The problem of finding or maintaining employment has become extremely slim for those spouse. Once you receive that blue ID card, you no longer have any preference in gaining employment opportunity. There should be some sort of policy allowing spouses of retired service member to keep or have at least an one-time opportunity to have a special preference to either keep their employment before their active duty status change or allow us the chance to receive this special preference to start off our career; especially in this economy! its going on an year for me and still looking....
