Pepperspray is an important tool for public safety for everyone. Minors, especially teenagers, are assaulted, kidnapped, and brutally mistreated by their aggressors. If minors over the age of 13 could legally carry pepperspray with parental consent, you would see a dramatic drop in the rate of crimes against minors. We are growing to live in a nation where minors are primary targets due to their lack of defensive measures, and the government illegalizing non-fatal measures of protection is cruel and ineffective. This would make it illegal to block the sale, carrying, and legal use of pepperspray nationwide for those who are over 13 years of age and have parental consent to carry pepperspray. Do we really want our children to feel threatened every time they walk outside?
