Allow same-sex married couples have the same immigration rights as opposite-sex married couples. UAFA: H.R.1537, S.821

Created by A.L. on January 05, 2012

Today, same-sex married couples do not have the same immigration rights as opposite-sex married couples. There is a bill out of committee in the Senate that addresses this issue: UAFA S.821.

President Obama should pressure members of congress to bring this bill to a vote or include it in other pending legislation.

Thousands of families across our country are being torn apart or are being forced to abandon the US.

Personally, as a business owner, I am being forced to choose between my partner or my country. After three years of waiting for progress, I am about to begin the process to relocate my business overseas. My city will miss the opportunity of having 100+ jobs created from my forced relocation. My story is not unique.
