Allow the School Day to start later.

Created by G.W. on January 27, 2014

Throughout life we have been told to get many hours of sleep. High school students should apparently average about 8-14 hours of sleep every night. For many students, this is not possible due to extracurriculars and homework, allowing many only 6-7 hours of sleep so that they can wake up early enough to catch the bus or be dropped off at their school. This hinders brain development, and in turn hinders the learning ability of the student, which is contrary to what school is for. Therefore, We The People believe that the average school start of 8 AM should be pushed to a later time in order to help all students make the most out of their school day, and at the same time, maintain good health.
