On Oct. 1st, 1997 a 16 yr old began shooting at Pearl Creek High School in Mississippi. After shooting and killing two students he got in his car and planned to go to the nearby middle school. He was stopped by then Assistant Principle Joel Myrick who had retrieved a gun from his pick up truck. If people knew that School officials were armed and ready to defend their students then maybe schools would be less of a target for crazed individuals.
Connecticut has gun control laws on the books already, this did not stop Adam Lanza. Criminals do not care about gun control laws however they do care if those citizens are able to shoot back.
