1 in 5 people drink one can of diet soda a day. 11% of them drink more than 16 oz. With that, how many kids drink diet pop now that all schools can only sell diet? Two or more cans a day can make your waist line grow 70% over time, which is contradicting to the reason for removing regular pop in schools, to "prevent childhood obesity". Artificial Sweeteners interfere with your body and can cause you to crave and over eat real sugar; Which again leads to obesity. Children who drink diet on a regular basis will have a 48% more risk of having strokes or heart attack when we get older. The artificial flavoring in diet soda interfered with bacteria in our body, making us less tolerant of glucose so we will always be craving real sugar. So we petition to bring back regular pop in schools.
