Currently, seasonal federal workers are not allowed to use their accumulated and earned annual leave, while they are on furlough. This is wasting a badly needed resource, that could be put to work helping to stimulate the economy (a top administration goal), as well as empowering those workers to better provide for themselves and their families, until they either find new work, or return to their current position.
