Single parents are not allowed to join the military since desert storm when many single parents were called for deployment and had little or no urgent care for their child/children. Now if you become a single parent during the time you are enlisted, you have to file a family care plan. For those who are not yet enlisted should have the chance to file for a family care plan and if approved can enlist.
