Civilians are allowed to protect themselves in public thanks to concealed carry laws. Military installations should not be any different. Soldiers are trained proficiently with firearms and should be entrusted to conceal carry on military installations. The Fort Hood(2009, 2014), Washington Naval Shipyard, Naval Station Norfolk, etc. shooting's could very well have been prevented or helped the outcome if soldiers were able to conceal carry.
