The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) should allow drivers to put the Confederate flag on their license plates because the Sons of Confederate Veterans (SCV) Texas Division are freely expressing their support for their ancestors and heritage. The non-profit organization known as the Sons of Confederate Veterans are currently active in many states. In Georgia, Mississippi, Virginia, and other states have received the approval for using the Confederate flag on license plates. The main question is, why can't Texas give them this right, just like the other states. There are many organizations all over the United States that have their flag or motto on License plates. The SCV Texas Division deserve the right to have their flag on their license plates, just like all the other organizations.
