allow South Dakota residents age 18 and over to legally purchase, own, and use handguns.

Created by R.R. on November 16, 2012

Currently, the South Dakota state law allows 18 year olds to obtain a handgun permit, but they cannot purchase a handgun until the age of 21. We believe if you are an 18 year old adult and can purchase a permit for a handgun, then you should be able to purchase said handgun.
