South Korea is currently trying to return over 87,000 M1 Garand rifles and an astounding 600,000 M1 Carbines to the United States but President Obama is currently blocking the return of these rifles. The United States loaned these rifles to South Korea during the Korean War on the basis that they would be returned when South Korea no longer needed them. The importation and sale of these rifles through the Civilian Marksmanship Program would ensure that these firearms are sold to competent and responsible citizens while also raising money for programs that teach and promote gun safety.
