I propose that spanking children be perfectly legal. It should be up to the parents whether or not their children can be spanked. This also includes corporal punishment in schools. Also while the child is in the care of a designated caregiver, guardian, babysitter, or other authority figure, including other members of the family. I propose that as long as spankings do not turn abusive, then they should be perfectly fine and legal. I also propose that parents be given the right to or not to spank their children, and have both options be legal.
