This petition to secede comes as a result of the unwillingness of the federal government of the United States of America to adhere to the terms of the founding contract and limit the scope of its power to that which is enumerated in the Constitution of the United States of America.
As the federal government continues to pursue policies that are in direct contravention to the legal framework provided by the Constitution and to abuse and discriminate against citizens of its several states, we hereby petition for the right of the several states to provide for their citizens that which the federal government will not, specifically the opportunity to prosper with equal treatment under the law and the expectation that no government will infringe upon the unalienable rights inherent in all men.
