allow the state of West Virginia to peaceably secede from the United States of America.

Created by E.S. on November 12, 2012

In 1863, West Virginia was formed by secession from the Confederate state of Virginia and was key in preserving the United States of America. However, due to growing regulations on the state's livelihood, along with many other questionable maneuvers under the current federal government, it seems fit that we leave the union in order to preserve ourselves.

The people of West Virginia support our rights to own and keep our justly acquired property, control our own lives while not harming others, and not relinquish the liberties given to us in the Bill of Rights under any circumstance. The actions of the current administration and congress do not reflect the West Virginian spirit of self-reliance and self-ownership, and therefore, are not condoned by the people.
