The ten amendment in The Bill of Rights reads;
"The powers not granted to the government by the constitution, or prohibited to the states, are reserved to the states."
Therefore any federal ban on any firearm would be unconstitutional unless the states were given the choice to adopt it or not.
This petition serves to remind the government of this.
