Allow states to legislate themselves concerning gun control. Federal reach has gone too far for too long.

Created by A.M. on January 15, 2013

My petiton asks that the Fedral Government be restricted in its legislative ability towards gun control. I ask that each state be given the ability to legislate the laws that best fit the citizens of that state concerning gun control and possibly other matters. The Federal guidlines we have are enough. It is not the Federal branchs job to legislate past the laws and amendments within the Constitution and Bill of Rights. By allowing each state to legislate or create gun laws that the citizens of that state want or support elected officials will be able to do the job that he/she was elected to do by the people who have chosen that person because they represent the things they feel are important in their families and communities lives.
